In Remembrance of Maureen Seivert June 30, 1960 – July 10, 2001

May 29th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s been almost 7 years since my good friend, Reni, passed away after a 4 year battle with breast cancer. One of our last travels together was for my 40th birthday, and her 41st birthday to Las Vegas. Well, I’m about to go to Las Vegas again, and thought I’d repost this, which was first posted on creditinfocenter.com right after she died.

I’ve knew her most of my life up until that point, since the age of 4, we grew up around the corner from each other. She was my next door neighbor until her unfortunate passing. I call her Reni (pronounced reeny) because I had a tough time pronouncing “Maureen” when I was 4.

She was one of the most extraordinary people I have ever met. I don’t know of one person who doesn’t have any thing but glowing praise to say about her. She was selfless, kind, sweet, intelligent, a friend who listened and gave whatever she had. In many ways, she was closer to me than my own sister.

I miss you!! 😥

Witty Insults to Take With You

May 20th, 2008 · No Comments

If all the world’s a stage, I think they are booing you.

Stupid is as stupid does and boy are you a busy little thing.

Diarrhea of the mouth; constipation of the ideas.

A wise man talks because he has something to say, a fool talks because he has to say something.

If you don’t stand for something…..you’ll fall for anything!

I think of all the gifts you’ve given me. Like the need for therapy.

Somebody forgot to water you this week, didn’t they?

Sit down and give your mind a rest.

If you have any trouble sounding condescending, find a Unix user to show you how it’s done.

You look like a professional blind date.

If there’s ever a price on your head, take it.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but you abuse the privilege.

Hmm…I dont know what your problem is…but I’m going to bet it’s really hard to pronounce.

Randi.org has for the last 10 had a real live offer: prove you are psychic, can bend spoons with your mind, etc. and you will receive 1 million dollars.

Of course, the prize has been around for 10 years, and no one, not even Uri Gellar, has won it.
