Deep Sea Fishing
The Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) is among the most bountiful seas in the world.Fishing is a large commercial industry in Rocky Point but it is also a huge sportfishing industry. The bountiful waters of the Sea of Cortez yield many tasty varieties of seafood. Some of the offerings are:

The Mexican Government has recognized the value of this resource in the northern Sea of Cortez and established an area prohibited to commercial fishing. The area is defined by a line from Rocky Point to San Felipe on the Baja. No commercial Fishing is allowed north of this line.
There's even an internationally recognized oceanographical society in Rocky Point, CEDO. Check out the website for more information, the facility is open to the public.
